2009 PPP VIP's

April 27, 2009

Betsy Henry - Ms. Henry is a teacher at Vineland Elementary in DeSoto.  When you ask any of the PPP planning team member who they think is the most organized, Betsy Henry will be the first person they name.  Betsy has been a wonderful asset to Vineland’s PPP Family Nights.  She is well prepared and keeps everyone up-to-date on meeting dates and activities.  She strives to add educational components to all PPP events.  Betsy Henry has been a member of the PPP planning team for 11 years, and her efforts are greatly appreciated!

Art Schneider – Art Schneider is a Human Development Specialist with University of MO Extension and a long-standing member of the PPP Training team.  We honor him for his 10 years of service to PPP and pro-active approach to sharing our story with legislators and other policy and decision makers.  We appreciate his efforts to keep the success of families and children at the forefront of education.

Glenn Berry – Glenn has been with the Center for Safe Schools for eight years and served thirty years in public education.  Since Glen became Director of the Center for Safe Schools in June 2001, the Center has transformed into a statewide and national school safety resource.  Glenn has frequently partnered with PPP in support of our Annual Conferences for many years, provided training for internet safety to our staff and training team, and most importantly, valued parent involvement as a contributor to increased student safety and achievement.  Glenn will be retiring this year, making this the perfect time to honor his dedication to education.

Ginny Vandelicht – Ginny is the Director of School Improvement at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  Ginny is a member of the conference planning team and the MSSN advisory board.  Ginny has provided the opportunity for PPP to partner in the school accreditation process and serve on school improvement teams.  PPP honors Ginny for her recognition of parent involvement as critical to increasing student success.
