PPP Founder's Award
2010 Application
Practical Parenting Partnerships, in honor of Darlene Robinett, PPP Director from 1992-2007, proudly presents the PPP Founder’s Award to the school or individual who submits the most innovative, successful parent involvement idea. At the annual PPP conference, you will receive a plaque for your school and a monetary award of $50. Your idea will also be submitted to the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS), John Hopkins University, for publication.
You may wish to consider one of the following questions:
- How do you specifically encourage parents to become more effectively involved in their children’s education?
- What specific activities have you developed for parents that resulted in their children achieving at higher academic levels?
- What did you incorporate, with parents, that has enriched the learning environment at your school in special ways?
- Have you experienced more parent contact as a result of some change you have initiated? Please describe.
- What has been “key” to your parent involvement success?
