www.search-institute.orgSearch Institute has lots of resources (brochures, etc.) that can be ordered at a minimal cost. Once on their mailing list, you will receive samples of new materials when they become available. Items found on this site would make a nice addition or start to your Family Resource Center. www.ed.gov The United States Department of Education provides free publications that are timely and useful. In addition, they carry many publications in Spanish. Especially helpful is the “How to Help Your Child . . .” series of booklets. Keep this address in your favorites list as they change or offer new publications often. TEACHERS/RESOURCES
www.walearning.com “On the Go” free parent-child early literacy materials--This is a set of 14 birth through preschool early language and literacy development activities designed to be used outside the home: in the car, while walking, during bus rides, etc. Direction is provided to modify the activities to meet the needs of children with disabilities. To access the “On the Go” file, click on the “Free Parent Education Handouts” button on the site’s home page. These materials were developed with grant support from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Program and can be reproduced and distributed as long as they are not sold.
