Home Visit Training

PPP Home Visit Training is designed for schools wishing to begin a home visit initiative or enhance an existing effort. Schools may wish to encourage classroom teachers to complete welcoming visits to all their students' homes at the beginning of the year or a series of home visits over time. They may wish to strengthen existing home visits being made by Even Start personnel, Title I specialists, home-school liaisons, social workers, or others. In either case, the PPP Home Visit training and materials will be appropriate. Complete lesson plans and materials for a variety of topics are available; for example, development, learning styles, emotional intelligence, personal responsibility, grief, achievement, homework, stress, communication, conflict resolution, school attendance, hygiene, dropout issues, divorce, etc.
Individuals attending this training are not necessarily required to have completed the initial PPP Implementation training. However, we suggest the school building they represent have a PPP trained team.
