Family Types, Family Strengths

Can you identify strengths in each of the family types represented in your school setting?  Do you believe each and every family type has strengths?  Are your programs inclusive?  Do they reflect a belief that all families have strengths?  How do families foster resiliency?  How can schools foster resiliency through PPP and in the classroom?  Using an activity-based approach, examine the strengths and the issues of varying family structures and explore the impact of family diversity on children, schools, communities and on the families themselves.
